The main application for duplex strainers is in fluid handling systems such as cooling water, fire lines, hydrocarbon, fuel lines, freshwater, pump suction, compressors, and lubrication systems. A fabricated duplex strainer’s body can be casting or fabricated material. Always check material compatibility with the process. Screens should be sized to meet the perforations, and mesh requirements.
